The Vice President of Academic Affairs oversees all academic-related initiatives, representing student interests to faculty and administration while fostering strong relationships with professors, academic committees, and career services to enhance the student learning experience.
Responsibilities include:
Liaise with the Desautels Bachelor of Commerce Office and Dean’s Office on all academic affairs
Represent the MUS and the student body on the Desautels Undergraduate Program Committee, Academic Committee and Faculty Council
Build strong rapport between the MUS and the Desautels Career Services
Create opportunities for student-professor interaction at events such as Meet Your Profs and services such as Class Ambassadors
Inform the student body of academic requirements, opportunities and developments that pertain to the Bachelor of Commerce degree
Mediate grading and other issues between students and professors
Promote a strong, positive academic environment
