The Vice President of Corporate Relations leads the MUS sponsorship strategy, fostering partnerships with businesses, alumni, and university offices to secure funding and strengthen external engagement opportunities for students.
Responsibilities include:
Lead the annual planning, execution, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the MUS sponsorship strategy, including all sponsorship-generating initiatives.
Coordinate sponsorship efforts across MUS portfolios, events, and clubs to maximize opportunities and ensure effective collaboration.
Represent the MUS in building relationships with corporate partners, industry professionals, and Desautels alumni.
Serve as the primary liaison with the Desautels Development and Alumni Relations Office, Desautels Career Services, and the Dean’s Office on matters related to sponsorship, alumni engagement, and networking opportunities.
Maintain relationships with commerce societies and student organizations at universities across Canada.
Oversee the training and professional development of the Corporate Relations team and event directors in areas such as sales, relationship management, client relations, and CRM/database management.
Review, approve, and maintain records of all contracts between the MUS and external partners.
Ensure all sponsorship agreements and contributions are accurately documented and reported to the Vice President of Financial Affairs.
Maintain systems and processes that support the continuity and effective transition of sponsorship-related knowledge, materials, and relationships.
