The Vice President of Competitions oversees all academic competitions and conferences, representing the MUS externally while supporting organizing committees and enhancing McGill’s presence and performance at national and international events.
Responsibilities include:
Handle relations with external entities, be it through competitions or student associations
Be the point of contact for the coordination of all internal MUS conferences and competitions and provide direction for organizing committees
Attend and represent the MUS at various conferences across Canada as well as organize the transportation and registration
Maintain relations and communications with key Desautels Faculty of Management, and McGill University administration members as well as competition coaches
Sit on the Faculty Case Committee as a representative of Undergraduate Students and work closely with the Case Coordinator of the Desautels Faculty of Management
Coordinate with the Case Committee and Case Coordinator to help with the Recruitment of students for International Competitions
Work with its events co-chairs to provide supervision and direction for the committees
Improve McGill’s competitiveness at external competitions
Collaborate with the committee of any considerably large event beyond the control of the Management Undergraduate Society
