The President of the MUS is the head of both the MUS Executive Team and the Board of Directors. They are the lead representative of the MUS to McGill administration, other faculty associations and external parties, including but not limited to: RÉFAEC, Corporate Sponsors, Registraire des Entreprises du Québec, etc.
Responsibilities include:
Chair all Executive meetings and ensure they are conducted effectively and professionally.
Ensure compliance with the MUS Constitution and governing policies.
Oversee, coordinate, and support the work of Executive members.
Act as the primary representative and spokesperson of the MUS in dealings with external stakeholders, unless a delegate is appointed.
Maintain strong relationships and communication with the Desautels Faculty of Management and the administration of McGill University.
Maintain relationships and collaboration with the Students' Society of McGill University and other student societies across campus.
Ensure the long-term financial health and sustainability of the MUS.
Work closely with the Clubs’ Council to provide guidance, oversight, and support to student clubs.
Carry out any additional responsibilities necessary to advance the mission and goals of the MUS.
