The Vice President of Competitions oversees all academic competitions and conferences, representing the MUS externally while supporting organizing committees and enhancing McGill’s presence and performance at national and international events.
Responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations, including student associations, conference organizers, and competition partners.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all internal MUS conferences and competitions, providing guidance and oversight to organizing committees.
Represent the MUS at conferences across Canada and coordinate participant registration, logistics, and transportation.
Foster strong relationships with key members of the Desautels Faculty of Management, McGill University administration, and competition coaches.
Represent undergraduate students on the Faculty Case Committee and collaborate closely with the Desautels Case Coordinator.
Support the recruitment and selection of students for international competitions in coordination with the Case Committee and Case Coordinator.
Provide leadership, supervision, and strategic direction to Events Co-Chairs and their committees.
Advance McGill’s presence and performance in external competitions.
Collaborate with the organizing committees of large-scale events that extend beyond the scope of the Management Undergraduate Society.
