The Vice President of Academic Affairs oversees all academic-related initiatives, representing student interests to faculty and administration while fostering strong relationships with professors, academic committees, and career services to enhance the student learning experience.
Responsibilities include:
Serve as the primary liaison with the Desautels BCom Office and Dean’s Office on academic matters.
Represent the MUS and undergraduate student body on the Desautels Undergraduate Program Committee, Academic Committee, and Faculty Council.
Foster strong relationships between the MUS and Desautels Career Services.
Facilitate meaningful student–faculty engagement through initiatives such as Meet Your Profs and the Class Ambassador.
Keep students informed of academic requirements, opportunities, and developments affecting the BCom program.
Advocate for students and help mediate academic concerns, including grading disputes.
Promote a positive, supportive, and academically enriching environment within the Desautels community.
